Skittles
There were many new candies made in the ’80s which are still consumed today on a global basis. This was the decade when Skittles started their “Taste the Rainbow” production in the U.S. in 1982.

Nerds
Nerds were created in the year 1983 and they were named Candy Of The Year just two years after. Nerds became so popular, that they even had their own breakfast cereal
Sour Patch Kids
Sour Patch Kids were called and known as Mars men in the 1970’s, but they weren’t so popular until they were rebranded as Sour Patch Kids in 1985. This was an attempt to mainly increase the popularity of Garbage Pail Kids, and Cabbage Patch Kids, and they were successful with this attempt.
