We helped women choose a new kind of Pleasure for the first time when the Galaxy® brand debuted in 1960, bringing a bar of modern, sophisticated chocolate to Britain finally free of rationing constraints. Our silky, finely ground chocolate was revolutionary, establishing the gold standard. That is why everyone remembers their first bite of Galaxy® chocolate.
And we have worked hard to empower each new generation, right up to today's heroines juggling modern life, to choose Pleasure as well.

Bringing Pleasure and purpose together
We are deeply committed to our cocoa-growing communities. That's why we buy cocoa that has been independently verified as coming from Rainforest Alliance Certified* farms. We help farmers develop skills, grow their businesses, and increase their incomes through our suppliers. Over 20,000 farmers in Indonesia received cocoa coaching from a network of cocoa specialists.
We are also investing in women's economic empowerment by promoting financial inclusion and innovation, which can benefit not only individuals but entire communities.
We also prioritize education because access to safe, high-quality education is critical to protecting children in cocoa-growing communities and ensuring better long-term prospects. We collaborate with the Jacobs Foundation and others to provide quality primary education to 5 million children in Côte d'Ivoire.
Of course, the environment must also be protected. Farmers can grow more cocoa on less land by increasing productivity, preserving forests and raising income. By 2025, we hope to have a deforestation-free cocoa supply chain.

How we make chocolate
Every Galaxy® product is carefully crafted to be savoured and enjoyed in a moment of Pleasure, whether it's the 22.8 million Galaxy® Smooth Milk blocks purchased each year, the delicate crispy shells of Minstrels® chocolates, or the bold and adventurous flavours of our new Fusions® product range.
Our chocolatiers have spent years perfecting the elements of our Galaxy® products, putting in thousands of hours to design even the most minor details, such as the soft corners and undulating flow of our bar and the finely milled cocoa that makes every mouthful as silky as the last.
We discovered three distinct stages of taste' when enjoying a Galaxy® moment through research:
1. The initial release of the signature taste of our Galaxy® products. It is unmistakably smooth and creamy, and the nation has loved it for generations.
2. The persistence of its distinctive caramel notes as the silky Galaxy® chocolate melts in your mouth.
